On Tuesday, December 6, 2022 the Senate passed the Big Cat Public Safety Act. This is a huge step forward for the protection of both big cats and people in the US.

The Big Cat Public Safety Act will ban private ownership of “pet” big cats, protect them from exploitation and help to safeguard communities and first responders who are put at risk when these animals are held in unqualified hands.
